In addition to the regular curriculum the RBG offers some courses.

IT Introduction for Students in the First Semester
This event is supposed to give the students in the first semester of courses with major/minor subject physics useful tips for the usage of the offered IT services of the faculty of physics.
Discussed are amongst other things:
- Operating system, login and usage
- LMU account and the account at the faculty of physics
- Printing & Scanning
- Prospect and further speeches
Furthermore a practical introduction to the terminal is offered and followed by support for possible questions and problems.
In addition, the installation of thunderbird (including PGP) for interested users is planned after the course.
Students of higher semesters are also more than welcome to take part, if they are interested in the topics of the Introduction course.
There will be several dates ( presumably wednesday and friday). They will be announced here in time.

Introduction to IT Security
This course is based on the IT Introduction for students in the first semester. It will be talked about how to behave in a multi user system.
Discussed will be:
- Basics of IT security
- Anonimity in the internet
- Data protection and privacy
- Backups
- System analysis and network security
- Application of the topics in the CIP
